I finally got a chance to take a look at a new A2 today. Overall it's built just like my CZ 1911 A1, complete with a an extremely stiff thumb safety. This one of course is an extended unit, instead of the GI part of the CZ. But good grief, why on Earth can't they fit the safety correctly? It nearly required both thumbs to engage. Aside from that though everything else seemed to be fit well, and the trigger pull was excellent. Not sure I like that chopped-off spur hammer, however.
